RIOT is hosting a community panel and discussion about the history of Black radicalism in the United States. This discussion will be an opportunity to learn about the vibrant history of Black resistance in the United States as well an opportunity to meet the Black radicals of today.
Mainstream celebrations of Black history month tend to declaw and sanitize the radicalism of Black freedom movements; we want to counter that narrative.
To assist with changing the narrative we are seeking gender oppressed people to join the panel, as well as, Black vendors to sell handcrafted goods.
